COURSE: Lay Person CPR for the Maritime Industry
Course Description: This course is appropriate for any person who is required to take lay person CPR when around water or who is in the boating industry. This includes recreational sailors, sailing instructors, and other boating enthusiasts. It is suitable for anyone who has responsibility for other people. This course should be taken where a person must have a valid CPR card. This is a lay responder course.
Guidelines: This course follows the latest recommendations as outlined by the American Heart Association.

Certificate:This is a Lay Person CPR Certificate of Achievement. It is suitable for a first training certificate or for a re-certification. It is valid for two years unless the particular employer or vocation specifies otherwise. Upon completion of the test the student submits the test results to FAFA via the internet. The official certificate will be sent to the student in the mail. It is valid for 1 year and is valid in all 50 states.
Certificate Requirements Met:This course and certificate meet the requirements of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) for Lay Person CPR.
Computer Requirements:A pc computer running a windows operating system with a Pentium III processor or above and a CD drive is required. You must have access to an internet connection to a) register the program, and b) to submit test results. A dial up connection is sufficient.
