Course Description: This course is appropriate for any person who is required to take lay person CPR. This course should be taken where a person must have a valid CPR card. This is a lay responder course.

Guidelines: This course follows the latest recommendations as outlined by the American Heart Association.

Delivery Mode: This is a multimedia educational course on a CD ROM.

Content: The main sections of the course are: Medical Emergencies Responding To Emergencies Unresponsive Victim – Airway And Breathing Unresponsive Victim – Circulation (AED) Automated External Defibrillators Choking (FBAO) Prevention, Planning and Preparation Your Instruction is always professional! * Content is presented in text and audio * Videos show people performing skills * Animations show why you perform skills * Activities help you practice skills.

Certificate: This is a Lay Person CPR Certificate of Achievement. It is suitable for a first training certificate or for a recertification. Upon completion of the test the student submits the test results to FAFA via the internet. The official certificate will be sent to the student in the mail. It is valid for 1 year and is valid in all 50 states.

Certificate Requirements Met:This course and certificate meet the requirements of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) for Lay Person CPR.

Computer Requirements: A pc computer running a windows operating system with a Pentium III processor or above and a CD drive is required. You must have access to an internet connection to a) register the program, and b) to submit test results. A dial up connection is sufficient.
